When is Grain Rain Day?

It is said that Cangjie was rewarded with a golden man by the emperor when he created characters. He felt guilty and returned it. One day when I was sleeping, I heard someone calling him, "You don't want any gold people that the Jade Emperor gave you, so what do you want?" Cang Xie shouted in his sleep: "The people are hard. If only all the people in the world had food."

The next day, when Cang Xie was about to go out, he was caught in an unusually heavy rain. It rained for nearly half an hour in Grain Rain, covering the whole village. Cang Xie was both happy and surprised. He remembered the scene in his dream and knew that it was a reward from the Jade Emperor, so he quickly sent someone to tell the Yellow Emperor.

Due to Cang Xie's contribution, the Yellow Emperor designated the date of planting millet as Grain Rain Festival, and ordered people all over the world to sing and dance in this year to thank God. In some places, this day is even regarded as a festival to worship Cang Xie.

1, sacrifice to Cang Xie

Tomb-Sweeping Day, who offered sacrifices to the Yellow Emperor, and Grain Rain, who offered sacrifices to Cang Xie, are folk traditions that have spread for thousands of years since the Han Dynasty. Every year in Grain Rain, Baishui County, Shaanxi Province will hold the "Cangjie Temple Fair" as scheduled.

2. Picking Grain Rain tea

It is said that drinking tea in Grain Rain will clear fire and ward off evil spirits, so there is a custom of picking tea in Grain Rain in the south. No matter what the weather is in Grain Rain, people will go to Chashan to pick some new tea to drink in order to pray for health.
