When are the early edamames planted?

It depends on your location and local conditions.

Take Guangdong as an example,

Sowing date and specifications: the growth period of early-maturing soybean varieties is about 70 days. Four crops can be planted in Zhanjiang, Maoming and Shantou in our province, and three crops can be planted in other places. Generally, spring seeds are sown in February-March, summer sowing seeds are sown in May-June and autumn seeds are sown in July-August.

When planting, the width of the border is 1m (including the border), and the height of the border in paddy field is required to be 25cm in spring and summer, 12 ~ 15cm in hillside and 20cm in autumn. Plant 2 rows in each border with a hole spacing of 20 cm, and sow 2 ~ 3 seeds in each hole to ensure the number of seedlings per mu 10000 ~ 12000.

Fertilizer and water management: apply soil miscellaneous fertilizer 1000 ~ 1500 kg per mu, and 25 kg of calcium superphosphate as base fertilizer. Topdressing for 2 ~ 3 times, applying urea 10 kg per mu when the two leaves are growing, applying 20 kg of compound fertilizer per mu after emergence 15 ~ 20 days, combining with ridge cleaning and soil cultivation for 4 ~ 5 cm, and applying compound fertilizer 10 kg per mu before flowering.
