Where is the car fuse?

The fuse of the car is in the fuse box. There are two fuse boxes in the car, one in the cockpit and the other in the engine compartment. Some high-end luxury cars have more electronic equipment, and there is a third fuse box in the trunk of such cars. Fuses are used to protect circuits. If the current in the circuit is too large, the fuse will automatically blow to protect the circuit.

There are also some relays in the fuse box in the engine compartment. The fuse box in the engine compartment is related to the electrical equipment in the engine compartment. The fuse box in the cockpit is related to the electrical equipment in the cockpit. If the fuse is broken, just open the fuse box, then pull out the damaged fuse and replace it with a new fuse of the same specification. The fuse box cover has the number and corresponding function of each fuse. The owner can find the corresponding fuse and replace it according to the instructions on the fuse box cover. When removing the damaged fuse, do not pull it out by hand. There is a small clip in the car fuse box. Clamp the damaged fuse with a small clip. If you can't find the corresponding fuse or fuse box directly, it is recommended to go to the repair shop to find a professional to replace the fuse.

1. The use of car fuses is similar to that of household fuses. When the circuit current is abnormal and exceeds its rated current, it will fuse as a circuit maintenance barrier. Automobile fuses can be roughly divided into fast fuses and slow fuses.

2. Commonly used automobile fuses include high current fuses and medium and small current fuses. Generally speaking, medium and small current fuses are easy to reach. Small and medium current fuses can be roughly divided into chip fuses (including automatic fuse box micro fuses), plug-in fuses, spin-on fuses and tubular fuse box flat fuses. Among them, medium-sized ATO or small-sized fast-melting chip fuse can be contacted. Chip fuses can carry small current and short pulse current, such as headlight circuit and rear glass defrosting.

3. Colors of international automobile chip fuses: 2A gray, 3A purple, 4A powder, 5A orange, 7.5A brown, 10A red, 15A blue, 20A yellow, 25A bright colorless, 30A green and 40A dark orange. According to different colors, we can clearly distinguish different amperes.

4. The conductor in chip fuse is made of metal similar to solder, and its melting point is lower than that of ordinary wire itself. The size of the conductor should be calibrated very accurately, so that when the rated current is reached, enough heat can be generated to melt the conductor and break the circuit. Fuses have two important working parameters, one is the working voltage, and the other is the rated current. When buying or replacing, the owner should choose according to the voltage and current in the circuit.

5. Generally, there are two safety boxes on the car. One is used for the safety of external electrical appliances of the car, such as ECU, glass water, lights, speakers, ABS and other circuits, and is located in the engine compartment; The other one is used for the normal operation of electrical appliances in the car, such as cigarette lighters, window lifters, power seats, airbags and so on. , usually located on the left side of the steering wheel.
