How to clean the throttle of BMW 5 Series?

Is it necessary to clean the throttle of BMW 5 Series? Cleaning the BMW 5 Series throttle is a must. Cleaning method of BMW 5 Series throttle: 1. Choose cleaning agent, mainly to clean the main channel, valve plate, bypass channel and idle stepping motor of throttle body. The cleaning agent must not contain strong corrosive substances. Generally speaking, carburetor cleaner is used to remove the throttle body assembly from the engine. 2. Remove the throttle body stepping motor from the throttle body assembly. Please be careful with the sealing ring on the stepping motor and clean it separately. Do not remove other screws except those installed on the stepping motor of throttle body; 3. Spray the cleaning agent evenly and properly on the main channel of the throttle body, both sides of the throttle valve plate, the shaft of the throttle body and the bypass channel. After soaking, open the throttle valve plate, rinse off other impurities such as dissolved carbon deposit with cleaning agent, and then soak the cleaning agent with cotton cloth to wipe the installation surfaces of throttle body, main channel, throttle valve plate, throttle body shaft and bypass hole.
