Common faults of power steering system;

Fault: Heavy steering and short-term loss of hydraulic power.

Reason: 1. Oil pump v belt is loose. 2. The oil level in the oil storage tank is too low. 3. Insufficient oil pump pressure. 4. Pressure control bonding. 5. Excessive external leakage. 6 Internal leakage is too large.

Trouble: When the car turns, the steering oil pump makes noise.

Reason: 1. The v-belt of the oil pump is loose. 2. The oil pump bearing is damaged. 3. The pressure plate or rotor is damaged. 4. The oil pump ring is excessively worn. 5. Insufficient oil storage tanks.

Fault: When the vehicle is running, the left and right steering forces are not equal.

Reason: 1. The slide valve (or spool) of the steering control valve deviates from the middle position, or although it is in the middle position, it is inconsistent with the gap size of the valve body groove shoulder. 2. There is dirt blockage in the control valve, which makes the left and right rotation resistance different. 3. Air seeps into the oil chamber of the power cylinder of the hydraulic system. 4. Oil leakage.
