Does the throttle need cleaning?

Do it yourself, have plenty of food and clothing, clean the throttle of the car almost 5000 kilometers, and regular maintenance is necessary. The cost of cleaning the throttle is relatively high, ranging from several hundred yuan for high-end cars to tens of yuan for private cars. You can do it yourself, enjoy DIY and save a lot of money. Let's take Citroen Fukang 16V as an example:

Warm reminder of automobile throttle function: control the air intake, and the fuel quantity can be automatically controlled through the throttle position sensor. In other words, it is the device that controls the throttle.

Classification: one is to control the semi-mechanical and semi-electronic throttle through the cable, and the other is to send a signal to the full-electronic throttle through the sensor, and calculate the throttle opening through the angle of the air inlet and sensor through the computer.

The throttle is in danger of being unclean.

1. Irregular cleaning will lead to wrong throttle opening.

Second, it will cause air with impurities to enter the engine combustion chamber.

These two results lead to abnormal engine operation, mainly manifested in unstable idle speed; Sudden and instantaneous flameout when driving at high speed (the feeling of suddenly closing the throttle); Decline in strength; In severe cases, it will cause difficulties in starting and increase fuel consumption.

Step 1: Prepare the tools.

A 10 small wrench (remove the battery terminal), a large Phillips screwdriver (remove the air inlet elbow), a T30 internal wrench (remove the throttle) and a bottle of carburetor cleaner.

Step 2: Remove the throttle inlet elbow.

Gently take out the air inlet elbow.

Step 3: Unplug the throttle harness plug.

Pull off plug connection of throttle wire harness.

Step 4: Remove the throttle body.

Step 5: Remove the throttle body and spray it.

Remove the throttle body.

At the same time, according to the moving direction of the throttle, pull it by hand for thorough cleaning.

Step 6: Install the clean throttle valve as it is (tighten the three fixing bolts, plug in the wiring harness and install the air inlet elbow):

Reset the clean throttle.

Step 7: Initialize the throttle position sensor.

Insert the key, turn the ignition switch to the M position and wait for about 40 seconds.

Turn off the ignition switch, wait for more than 20 seconds, and then start ignition.

Get on the bus, insert the key, turn the ignition switch to the M position and wait for about 40 seconds. If it's quiet, you can hear the click of the throttle in about 30 seconds.

Then, turn off the ignition switch and wait for more than 20 seconds before starting ignition.

At this point, the throttle cleaning work is completed.
