How to Adjust the Valve Clearance of Diesel Engine Oil Pump
The method to adjust the normal valve clearance is to insert the piston between the rocker head and the valve stem end with a thickness gauge when the piston is at the top dead center of the compression stroke, and measure the clearance. Remind everyone that the technical data of general diesel engines stipulate whether the valve clearance is cold or hot, and the cold value is greater than the hot value. For example, the general cold value, the intake valve clearance is 0.35mm, and 0.40mm is the exhaust valve clearance; The gaps between the intake valve and the exhaust valve are 0.25mm and 0.30mm respectively. When adjusting the valve clearance, first loosen the nut and tighten the adjusting bolt until the clearance is appropriate. Then screw the adjusting bolt (to prevent the bolt from rotating) and lock the nut. After all adjustments are completed, it is necessary to carefully check whether the clearances of all intake valves and exhaust valves meet the technical standards or readjust. The adjustment method of valve clearance of diesel engine oil pump is as follows: 1. Remove the cylinder head cover of diesel engine in cold state. 2. Turn the flywheel so that the top dead center line on the flywheel is aligned with the pointer line on the water tank, so that the piston is at the top dead center position of the compression stroke. 3. Measure the clearance between the end of the valve stem and the rocker arm with a thickness gauge. If the thickness gauge cannot be inserted or there is still a big gap after insertion, the valve clearance should be adjusted. When the S 195 diesel engine is cold, the intake valve clearance is 0.3~0.4mm, and the exhaust valve clearance is 0.4 ~ 0.5 mm..4. Loosen the lock nut of the valve clearance adjusting screw, twist the adjusting screw and measure it with a thickness gauge until the measured value is consistent with the specified value. Tighten the lock nut and keep the adjusting screw still. 5. When adjusting the gap between the intake valve and the exhaust valve, turn the crankshaft several times, and then measure the gap. If there is any change, it should be readjusted.
