4. At present, the fuel consumption rate of general pedal wiping (including fuel-assisted vehicles) is mostly around 2L/ 100KM under normal and good conditions. Exceeding this data indicates that the pulley is worn or the carburetor is improperly adjusted. When the fuel consumption of the vehicle rises above 3L/ 100KM, it is usually that the pulley is seriously worn and begins to be entrained, or the electric heating enrichment on the carburetor is not turned off. According to some pedal light friction in normal and good conditions in this edition, the improved light friction not only improves the acceleration power, but also reduces the engine emission value. When it comes to carburetor of scooters, some people talk about brands. We don't talk about those illusory things here, but only about how to modify it to save fuel.
1. Enlarge the gas distribution hole and main oil foam hole: This carburetor is not practical in design, and its gas distribution hole diameter is usually about 0.5 mm ~ 0.9 mm, which is often blocked by dust, resulting in more and more oil output from the carburetor. After many practical experiments, it is found that the atomization effect of gasoline is better after increasing the air distribution hole between idle speed and main oil, which not only saves fuel and increases power, but also reduces the disadvantage that the air distribution hole is often blocked by dust and grease, and is easy to clean with flushing agent.
According to the test results on the carburetor of several pedal mopeds, the air distribution hole at one end of the carburetor can generally be expanded to about 1.0 mm ~ 1.5 mm, which not only reduces the oil output, but also has abundant air distribution to participate in gasoline atomization, and the power of the engine tends to increase. The main oil needle of this carburetor is usually not adjustable. If there is still too much main oil after trial operation, several small foam holes can be drilled on the main oil foam pipe to increase gas distribution and reduce the main oil output.
2. Modify the main oil needle: The design of this carburetor is very unreasonable. The main oil needle of most carburetors is actually not adjustable. Different from the main oil needle on the carburetor of the shift car, there are five ring grooves in the head, which can be stuck with a small snap ring to change the installation height. The simple way is to increase the foam holes of the main oil foam pipe, which can reduce the main oil output; In winter, the main oil needle is improved, and a small gasket is added to increase the oil output. The standard practice is to carve five ring grooves on the main oil needle, find a small snap ring and clamp the main oil needle like a plunger carburetor. You can also weld one more section on the original main oil needle, tap the thread of M3, and tighten the small nut of M3 after adjustment.
3. Modify the negative pressure spring: There is a spring in the diaphragm bowl of the main oil plunger of the isobaric vacuum diaphragm carburetor, and its elastic hardness varies from carburetor to carburetor, so there seems to be no uniform standard. According to the principle that it is driven by negative pressure, changing its elastic hardness will play a certain role in the supply performance of main oil. According to the related negative pressure principle, if the spring is changed into a soft point, it can be aerated and reduced in oil, which is convenient for acceleration; If the spring hardens, the negative pressure in the throat will be higher, the main oil and inert oil will be thicker, and the locomotive speed may be slower. Individuals are not encouraged to change this item here. Most people don't have so many spring spare parts at hand, so it is difficult to recover the carburetor if something goes wrong.
4. Change electrothermal thickening: electrothermal thickening is more convenient for scooter riders; But if it is broken, it will be hidden, which will cause some disadvantages such as unstable car condition and high fuel consumption. It is suggested to connect a small bulb in series in the circuit to heat it to monitor its live working state. If the accelerator pump on the carburetor works, it can be used for extra fuel when the cold car starts. The big spring of the electric heating thickening part can be installed in reverse immediately, so that the small plunger oil needle can press the thickening oil path forever, which is equivalent to canceling the oil consumption part and solving the trouble in this part.
5. Cancel negative pressure concentration: On the side of this carburetor, there is a negative pressure chamber, which can concentrate idle engine oil. Its structural principle is to close the large distribution hole of idle oil when the negative pressure increases, so as to enrich oil and steam. Its principle is said to be to prevent the exhaust pipe from jumping when the vehicle slides down with the throttle closed. This device will bring fuel consumption factors to the vehicle, and it is also easy to fail because a tiny metering hole in its structure is blocked, resulting in unstable carburetor performance. If the idle air distribution hole at the inlet of carburetor is enlarged, its function can be eliminated. If you have some manual skills, you can also change it to a structure that thickens the oil vapor when the negative pressure decreases. This is a more advanced and reasonable fuel-saving measure.
6. There are two kinds of plungers in this carburetor, among which the design of the bell-shaped plastic plunger is poor, and its base needs to be reformed to reduce its impact point and improve the starting response performance of the carburetor, thus saving fuel. The specific method is to cut off the convex edge of the lower seat at the upper part of the plunger, which can usually lower the plunger by 2mm and improve the starting performance of the carburetor. 7. For car enthusiasts with good handwork, you can try to polish and make the main oil needle yourself, so that the scooter can achieve the best fuel-saving state. The main oil needle can use copper-clad electrode, and the processing and polishing equipment can use ordinary bench drill. Usually, the copper-clad covered electrode is first roughly filed with a file, then clamped on a bench drill and polished with a speed gear and coarse sandpaper. Before grinding, measure the old oil needle, design a new oil needle, and then measure while grinding, and the new main oil needle is gradually ground in place. Finally, whether to process the five grooves on the main oil needle or scrape out the ring groove with a scraper made of bench drill and small saw blade.
8. About the new oiler: At present, the plunger carburetor for scooter has been listed, which is a replica of TH90 and GC 125 plunger carburetor, and the price is about 120 RMB. The advantages of plunger carburetor are simple structure, convenient adjustment, stable operation and low price. When used on scooters, the idle fuel consumption can be adjusted to 60% of that of vacuum film carburetor. But the fatal disadvantage is that the throttle can't be screwed quickly, otherwise it will lose negative pressure = lean oil flameout; People who are used to it don't care, just feel that they are still riding bicycles; It is usually difficult for people who are used to riding scooters to adapt to this characteristic of plunger carburetor at one time.
According to the reaction of merchants, it is said that those plunger carburetors are difficult to start in the north, so when we develop new domestic scooter carburetors, we pay special attention to the problem of cold start-up and test out a new secondary atomization structure. At present, the first generation plunger carburetor based on TH90 has passed the stage of cold start and daily use at minus 15 degrees. But the size of that plastic float is too small, and it must be a hidden danger in the future. I don't want to do it anymore. The second generation is currently being studied. Compared with the old carburetor, N improvements have been made to reduce the production cost and the risk is considerable. Now I dare not say anything. The design of the third generation is ideal, and the structure is close to the state of EFI in theory; But at present, I can't promise my friends. In case the boss refuses to put into production because of the high cost, I can't help it. If we can complete the carburetor stall in the Year of the Ox this year, the scooter business will be basically completed; Unless the engine is replaced by gears or the carburetor is replaced by EFI, there is usually no greater improvement on scooters. )

Throat refueling system is unheard of for four-stroke scooter, and it is one of the most important research results of this light skyscraper in fuel saving of scooter. Its fuel-saving principle is very simple: it is to use the oil and gas huffed and puffed by the storage container to form a strong vortex airflow at the throat, strengthen the scouring and stirring effect of air on oil mist, accelerate the volatilization of gasoline at the throat, and prevent gasoline from entering the cylinder in the state of mist droplets. Although there are many other schemes for throat refueling system, it is not easy to implement a better fuel-saving scheme than oil storage container+vortex throat for scooters with short throat. Moreover, some fuel-saving schemes studied in the past have affected the power of the engine to some extent. Only such a combination is an excellent scheme that can save fuel and improve power, so it is disclosed to everyone here. At present, this refueling system consists of two parts, one is the steam inlet with vortex nozzle, and the other is the storage container of vortex throat. For the current scooter, the vortex throat is to add a vortex nozzle to the lower left of the original motorcycle throat, and the vortex storage container is a closed cylindrical vacuum tank. If you want to do this easily on the pedal, you can easily get a lot of hot air discharged from the engine after heat dissipation by inserting a hole in the engine hood. However, it should be noted that the hot air discharged by engine heat dissipation has a little wind pressure, which inhibits the main oil of carburetor, and the direct entry will lead to the engine speed not going up. Someone has done this experiment, thinking that it can boost the voltage and increase the power. The result is contrary to the carburetor theory, which breaks the naive fantasy that many people think that simply increasing the intake pressure in front of carburetor and air cleaner can improve the engine power. According to the proposal in this edition, the specific method is to add a large plastic tank in front of the air filter inlet, and the outlet of hot air is also in the tank, but it is not directly opposite the air filter inlet. It works in all engine speed segments, while the weighted Pritzker only changes the "shift" speed of the front plate; That is, when the engine speed is not high enough, let the front plate increase the transmission diameter of the belt in advance. 4. Pay attention to lubricating the sliding sleeve in the pulley: this is not in the fuel-saving project, but it is very important to the fuel consumption rate of the scooter, so I want to emphasize it by the way. Because the belt roller sleeve of the scooter will gradually wear out, the disk surface will swing, resulting in an "entrainment" phenomenon that ordinary people don't know, increasing the internal resistance of the scooter's transmission, increasing the burden on the engine, and making the vehicle show a morbid state of insufficient power and soaring fuel consumption. 5. The common Pritzker beads have some shortcomings, such as too small friction contact area, easy wear and deformation, or poor sliding, which leads to the failure of disk replacement. It should be noted that some original car igniters have automatic angle changing function, while XH90 integral igniter usually has no angle changing function, so users should consider it themselves.
4, according to the specific situation of their own vehicle transmission ratio and displacement, appropriately change the ignition angle; If necessary, replace the trigger boss on the magneto flywheel and replace the igniter with a new domestic TB80 igniter invented in 2008. The four-stroke engine is a kind of engine with great internal damping. The obvious performance is that the throttle changes little when going uphill or downhill. When the throttle is completely closed, the engine has a strong internal deceleration effect. Usually, when the throttle is turned off too fast, the driver will feel his body rushing forward, indicating that the four-stroke locomotive is almost equivalent to running with the brakes half-held. This fully shows that the internal resistance of the four-stroke engine is large, its ventilation system consumes kinetic energy, and most of the fuel is consumed by itself, so its fuel efficiency needs to be improved. Because of the small internal resistance, the secondary impact machine is sensitive to the uphill and downhill of the locomotive. According to the above test data, if the internal resistance of the light friction engine is reduced by 1/2, the external output of the engine can be doubled and the fuel mileage of the locomotive will be greatly improved. It is not easy to develop low internal resistance ventilation system on four-stroke engine, so this edition has always been optimistic about two-stroke engine. Through the investigation in ZJ in 2008, it is found that the camshaft of four-stroke machine is very important. If you grind it yourself, you can greatly reduce the running resistance and greatly improve the engine output efficiency.
The earliest fuel-saving camshaft test was carried out on TS- 1 small bent beam shift car in 2007, and the fuel consumption increased from 80KM/L to120 km/L; Because there is no scooter, it was not until 2008 that I had the opportunity to do experiments on the scooter in the factory. After deducting the transmission loss of the belt, the fuel-saving camshaft still has some remarkable fuel-saving effects and the noise of the engine is reduced. It is difficult for ordinary riders to change engines. Only by using high quality lubricating oil can the internal resistance and power loss of the engine be reduced. The quality and performance of lubricating oil seems to be related to the brand and specification of the manufacturer. Usually, private testing is difficult and depends on experience.
