Is the three-way catalytic cleaning of injector useful?

Three-way catalytic purification is useful. Because fuel contains harmful substances such as sulfur and phosphorus, chemical complexes will be formed on the surface of oxygen sensor and inside of three-way catalytic converter after combustion. After driving for a long time, carbon deposits will form. If it is not cleaned in time, the oxygen sensor and the three-way catalyst will be poisoned and fail, which will eventually lead to abnormal engine operation, such as increased fuel consumption, decreased power and excessive exhaust gas.

1. There are many kinds of cleaning agents on the market, but it is generally recognized by car owners or repair shops that oxalic acid solution is used for cleaning, and the effect is also obvious. However, this method needs to disassemble the three-way catalytic device, which has certain requirements on the conversion rate and soaking time of oxalic acid solution, and improper use will destroy the internal structure;

2. The second method is disassembly-free cleaning, that is, by "hanging bottles" or adding cleaning agents to the fuel tank, but this method is not as effective as the first one and is suitable for slight blockage;

3. For the mild blockage of the three-way catalytic converter, the three-way catalytic cleaning agent is still very useful. Its function is to remove sulfur, phosphorus and other chemicals on the surface of the three-way catalyst, dredge the blockage of the exhaust pipe and restore the activity of the three-way catalyst;

4. But if it is a serious jam, using cleaning agent alone will not have much effect. If necessary, it should be disassembled and cleaned. If it is damaged or blocked seriously, it should be replaced directly.
