"It snows in May, there are no flowers, only cold." The Tianshan Mountains referred to in the poem are actually not the Tianshan Mountains in Xinjiang today, but the Qilian Mountains that span a vast area between Gansu and Qinghai provinces. Xiongnu language calls the sky Qilian, with high altitude and bad climate. The top of the main peak of Qilian Mountain is covered with snow all year round. May in the summer calendar coincides with the two solar terms of summer solstice and slight heat, and it is the hottest season in a year. However, on Qilian Mountain, there is only white snow, where there are splendid spring flowers. It is a very cold world that people can imagine. The poet quoted "May" to tell people that it is still so cold in midsummer, and the cold in Ji Chun, autumn and winter shows that this is a rare technique and is often used in poetry.
"I have heard of" Folding Willow "in the flute, but I have never seen it in spring." Although the soldiers are still experiencing severe cold until summer, they may not have no desire for spring in their hearts. The flute was originally a musical instrument of the Qiang nationality, but by the Tang Dynasty, it had become very popular in the vast Central Plains, and "Folding Willow" was originally a piece of music in Yuefu's lyrics, full of parting worries. For example, Wang Zhihuan's famous sentence "Why should the Qiang flute blame Liu? "Spring Breeze But Yumen Pass" is the tune of "Folding Willow" played by Qiangdi. The word "folding willow" in this poem is a pun. Literally speaking, soldiers have been stationed in Qilian Mountain for many years, and they can't see the scenery of spring breeze willow that is common in the mainland at all. They can only play the song of "folding willow", but the real spring breeze can't blow them. The deeper meaning is the profound historical connotation implied by the ancient Yuefu "Zheyangliu". This old song goes like this: "If you don't catch the whip when you get on the horse, you will turn to Yang Liuzhi." Playing the flute on the sofa, afraid of killing travelers. "In other words, literally, our readers today can understand that the border is a cold world without spring breeze; But when the tune of "Broken Willow" rings in the ancient border, it will affect how many hot-blooded men miss their hometown. Li Yi, a frontier poet in the mid-Tang Dynasty, has a famous sentence in "Listening to the flute at night while guarding the hometown wall": "I don't know where to play the flute, and I want to recruit people to see my hometown all night", which is the best footnote of Li Bai's two poems. However, Li Yi's poems were written in the middle Tang Dynasty, and his national strength has declined. So inadvertently, he brought out all the morale of the border guards affected by the national movement, which made people feel sad. However, Li Bai was in the prime of the Tang Dynasty, so the situation at the end of the pen was full of lofty sentiments, which was a kind of situation, but it was free and easy without sadness.
"Xiao follows the golden drum and holds the jade saddle at night." The golden drum is a military musical instrument, made of metal. It was sounded in wartime in order to order soldiers to stop attacking, so-called retreat. Drums are war drums, and beating drums is a call to attack the enemy, so-called high altitude. It can be seen that the military discipline is strict. Although it is said to be "war at dawn", it is no longer necessary to March and fight all day. It is also a method of giving inferences, which cannot be mechanically understood as fighting only at dawn. During the day, the soldiers fought bloody battles to defend the country. In order to forge ahead bravely, they dare not relax at night. Perhaps it is more reasonable to say "sleeping on the jade saddle at night", but the word "hug" is more vivid than the word "pillow", which shows the high vigilance in the military camp. It seems that as long as there are signs of trouble, the soldiers will immediately jump up and clean up. " Although there are only ten words in this couplet, one is "Xiao" and the other is "Night", which is the finishing touch to show the precious spirit and noble realm of the soldiers who are stationed in the border area day and night and heroically kill the enemy in front of readers, which makes people admire!
At this point, the whole poem goes straight down six sentences in one breath. How to finish, Li Bai spent a lot of thought. Sure enough, at the end of the couplet, the poet changed his pen and stopped the previous description, ending with an allusion: "I would like to cut Loulan in half." This is a story borrowed from Fu Zijie in the Western Han Dynasty. Loulan, the name of the Western Regions in Han Dynasty, is located in the west of Lop Nur, Xinjiang. On his way to the Western Regions, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty communicated with the Western Regions, and the envoys passed through here and went to Dawan and other countries. There are still relics of this ancient city. King Loulan repeatedly killed the messengers of the Western Han Dynasty because he was greedy for money. In the fourth year of Yuanfeng in the Western Han Dynasty (77 BC), Fu Zijie was sent by Huo Guang to behead King Loulan and make contributions to the country. "Wish" is a modal verb, and with the word "Zhiwei", the tone is straightforward, which fully shows the loyalty of the border guards and makes the whole poem come to an abrupt end in an extremely high and exciting mood.
These five laws do not follow the general rule of two sentences changing continuously, but are developed according to the requirements of the poetry content itself, and are divided into a very rare structure of the first six and the second. The first three sentences describe the frontier in all directions. The first one is "Five In the snow in Tianshan Mountain, no flowers are cold", and the meteorological conditions are not good. The second song is "I have heard" Folding Willow "in the flute, but I have never seen spring", which is a soldier's pleasure in suffering. The third is "playing the golden drum at dawn and sleeping on the jade saddle at night", which is a cruel war baptism. After the above background, with a "
