1. Pull off the distributor cover and turn the crankshaft.

2. When the crankshaft rotates to the position where T can be seen from the side hole, the cylinder pointed by the distributor is at compression top dead center.

3. Turn the distributor to several cylinders.

First, other methods:

1. Jack up a front wheel and shift to 4th gear. One person turns the front wheel slowly, and the other person observes the observation hole of the gearbox.

2. The distributor is a part of the ignition system, which controls the on-off of the primary circuit in time and distributes the sparks to the spark plugs of each cylinder in sequence.

Second, the installation method:

1. Rotate the assembled engine until the flywheel and the drive plate are located at the top dead center of the cylinder 1;

2. For the removed engine, the timing mark on the pulley must be aligned with the arrow on the timing belt guard;

3. The timing mark of the camshaft timing gear is aligned with the cylinder head;

4. The connecting sleeve of the oil pump must be parallel to the crankshaft;

5. The distributor head points to the 1 cylinder mark on the distributor housing;

6. Insert the distributor;

7. Clean the distributor cover, check whether there is any crack or leakage on the distributor cover, and replace it if there is any fault;

8. After installation, recheck and adjust the ignition timing. ?
