When is the season in Grain Rain?

April 19 to April 2 1 day is the last solar term in spring.

Grain Rain, one of the 24 solar terms in China, is a festival from April 19 to April 2 1 day in the Gregorian calendar every year. As the last solar term in spring, Grain Rain means that the cold wave weather is basically over, the temperature rises rapidly, and the precipitation increases obviously, which is beneficial to the growth of cereal crops. It is the best time for sowing, transplanting and ordering beans. Grain Rain is the reflection of ancient farming culture in festivals. In ancient times, people had the customs of "going to Grain Rain", "tasting Grain Rain tea" and "enjoying peony flowers".

In the south of Grain Rain season, "a hundred flowers blossom", willows fall, cuckoos sing at night, peonies bloom and cherries are ripe. The natural scenery tells people that it is the end of spring. The temperature in the south rises rapidly. Generally, the average temperature in late April has reached 20℃ to 22℃, which is more than 2℃ higher than that in mid-April, except in northern and western South China. In the eastern part of South China, high temperature weather above 30℃ often occurs in 1~2 days, which makes people feel hot, and low-altitude valleys also enter summer.
