A: China offshore is one of the foggy areas in the North Pacific. Advection fog is the main city, followed by frontal fog and radiation fog. There are three relatively foggy areas: (1) the area from Chengshantou to Shidao in the southern part of Shandong Peninsula, with annual foggy days exceeding 80 days, up to 95 days, and continuous foggy days reaching 27 days, which is called "fog cave". (2) From the coastal areas of Fujian and Zhejiang to the Yangtze River estuary, the average annual foggy days are 50-60 days. (3) From Qiongzhou Strait to Beibu Gulf, the average annual foggy day is 20-30 days.
Fog area distribution: Bohai Sea to Beibu Gulf is basically distributed in a strip shape.
Regional characteristics: less in the south and more in the north, narrow in the south and wide in the north.
Time characteristics: early in the south and late in the north, mostly from spring to summer and from south to north.
