What happened to the gear letter light?

The reason why the gear letter light is not on:

1, gear switch fault: you can connect a diagnostic computer to diagnose whether it is an electronic fault of the gear switch or an electrical fault displayed by the instrument, and just replace the damaged part for debugging.

2.PCM fault: PCM will receive sensor signals, control the adjustment of fuel supply, gas distribution, fuel injection and ignition timing and intake pressure through complicated calculation, and also determine the compensation control coefficient of the engine according to temperature, load, knock and combustion conditions. Once the PCM fails, the engine will work abnormally, thus affecting the gear position of the gearbox.

3. Internal fault of the transmission: Internal fault of the transmission will make it difficult to shift gears and make it impossible to operate, so the light of the shift lever will go out.

4. The gear lamp module is damaged: If the vehicle shift function is normal, the failure of the control lever lighting lamp is caused by the damage of the gear lamp module.

The letters of the transmission gear represent the following meanings:

1, p gear: indicates parking gear. When engaged in this gear, the parking lock mechanism locks the transmission output shaft.

2.r gear: it means reverse gear. When this gear is engaged, the reverse oil circuit of the hydraulic system will be connected, so as to drive the driving wheel in the reverse direction.

3. N gear: it means neutral gear. When the planetary gear system is put into neutral, it idles and cannot output power.

4.d gear: it means forward gear. When the shift control handle is in this gear position, the hydraulic system control device will automatically turn on the vehicle speed signal according to the throttle opening signal.

5.S gear: it means sports equipment. S gear can be switched at any time without damaging the transmission and other adverse effects.

6.l gear: low gear. When the vehicle goes downhill, shift into low gear to reduce braking.
