Odyssey idle motor adjustment

It is best to adjust the idle motor engine in the warm-up state to avoid the influence of the warm-up state of the engine on the adjustment speed.

1. After removing the idle motor, tighten the idle cone valve head clockwise until it stops, record the position of the valve head with a marker, and then turn it counterclockwise for 3 turns.

2. Reinstall the idle motor, turn the car key to the ON position, wait for 20 seconds, and then ignite. If the idle speed is normal, adjust it in place.

3. If the idle speed is too high, it means that the throttle bypass is large. It is necessary to loosen the valve head of the idle motor counterclockwise by 0.5- 1 turn, and then repeat the operation in step 3.

4. If the idle speed is low or it cannot be started, it means that the throttle bypass is small, so it is necessary to tighten the idle motor clockwise by 0.5- 1 revolution, and then repeat the operation in step 3.
