202 1? Kia? Souranto, a new generation of KIA Souranto, belongs to the same group, but the shape design of KIA is completely different from that of modern times. Since 2002, Souranto has sold 3 million cars around the world and is the sales pillar of Kia.

The new Souranto adopts Kia's new third-generation medium-sized SUV platform, with compact engine compartment and short front and rear suspension. The wheelbase is 35mm longer, reaching 28 15mm, and the interior space is increased. The length is 48 10mm, the width is 1900mm, which are all increased by 10mm and the height is 1700mm.

At the same time, the body is made of steel and aluminum, which greatly improves the torsional stiffness while reducing the weight. Compared with the previous generation, the body structure has a higher proportion of high-strength steel and hot stamping parts.

In-car 12.3 inch LCD instrument and 10.25 inch central control panel, brand-new Souranto moonlight system (Mood? Lighting) has soft ambient light and provides Bose sound. 7-seat and 5-seat layout, with the largest luggage volume of its class, 82 1L (seven-seat model) and 9 10L (five-seat model). Even if the third row of seats is opened, there is still 187L luggage space, which is 32% higher than the previous generation.

The new Kia Souranto is equipped with a "Smartstream" hybrid system, which can be mixed with plug-in hybrid. 1.6-liter T-GDi turbocharged direct injection engine matched with 44.2kW motor generates 230ps power and 350Nm torque, which are transmitted to wheels through 6AT.

The new 1.6 liter T-GDi engine adopts KIA's new continuously variable valve (CVVD) technology, which can adjust the valve opening time according to the driving conditions, improve the performance of middle and low-grade engines and improve fuel efficiency. The new platform puts the 1.49kWh lithium battery pack under the floor to avoid affecting the engine compartment and luggage compartment space.

Except for the 2.2L that has nothing to do with China? Turbocharged diesel engine (202ps/440Nm) and 2.5L turbocharged gasoline engine, with a maximum of 277ps/42 1Nm, are both matched with 8-speed wet dual clutch.

The new Souranto also has a stronger four-wheel drive system, which increases the choice of terrain mode and gives Souranto stronger traction in mud, snow and sand. The system distributes torque to four wheels through ESC electronic stability system, and at the same time, it can adjust the shift timing to keep the vehicle with sufficient traction.

Kia Souranto is also equipped with a multi-collision braking system pioneered by Kia, which can reduce the damage caused by secondary collision. After the airbag is deployed after the initial collision, the vehicle will automatically apply the brakes to further protect the occupants from the secondary frontal or side collision.

Kia Souranto continues to be produced by Kia Korea Huacheng Factory and sold all over the world, while the American market is supplied by Georgia West Point Factory.
