Eight Poems in Autumn, Part I

Yulu withered maple forest, Wushan Wuxia bleak.

Between the river and the sky, the waves are rough and the clouds are covered with fog.

Cong Ju shed tears the other day. She was alone in the boat.

Cold clothes push knives and rulers everywhere, and Baidicheng is anxious.

The first four sentences of Du Fu's poem create the artistic conception of autumn, and use the words of withering, gloomy, sky surging and gloomy. These words express the withering of everything in autumn. After entering the Millennium solar term, the weather in Baidicheng has become colder and rainy, giving people the feeling that "it rains all night", which indicates that people's situation is not the worst, only worse.

The first four sentences describe the weather, create a bleak atmosphere, and lead to the last four sentences, homesickness, people's participation in the war of resistance, expressing their concern for the country and the people.

When the ancients wrote poems, they liked to use things to write feelings and scenery to write feelings. Du Fu is especially good at describing feelings with scenery. Autumn is bleak, the weather is cloudy and war breaks out. At this time, the poet also joined the ranks of making warm clothes for soldiers. When the poet was worried, he had to do his bit to stop the war. It is not only worrying about the country and the people, but also doing our best to bring people a better life and hope.

The nobleness of the poet Du Fu is that he not only writes poems and expresses his feelings, but also cares about the country and people as much as he can, which is admirable.
