The heat is coming, and autumn is not far away. When "Lin Zhong" rings, summer is over. A full moon opens at midnight, and fireflies fly out of thin air to illuminate the night sky. Prepare Sun Mi to invite guests who have studied poetry. Sun Pu is covered with green and cool water. Don't get sleepy by rolling red gauze. Wait for the breeze to read ancient books and periodicals.

2, "Summer Water Pavilion Listening to Gold and Playing the Flute".

Bamboo can sing underwater dragons, and jade people should be in the moonlight. When can we wash away the air and heat in autumn and make it the wind of frosty days and fallen leaves?

The bamboo flute blew gently, with a beautiful melody, and the sound seemed to penetrate underwater, and Youlong under the secluded pool sang along with it. This association makes people feel a little cold in this hot summer, and feels that the jade man who plays the flute is like coming from the moon palace in Guanghan, bringing coolness and relieving the pain of the hot summer.

This poem was written in the third year of Yuanyou (1088) at Wang Shen's residence in Ma Xu, when it was in the midsummer solar terms and the weather was extremely hot. Huang Tingjian and other literati gathered in Shui Ge, Sima's home to enjoy the cool air and listen to the maid Zhao Hua playing the flute.
