Taizhou Jiaojiang Spring Festival custom
In the morning, jiaozi, jiaozi or rice cakes are used as food. The cake means climbing high, and the glutinous rice balls mean reunion. Except for a few service industries, manufacturers are closed for rest and shops are closed. People meet to congratulate each other, get rich, have a happy New Year and other auspicious words. Farmers in the suburbs flock to the city for sightseeing or visiting relatives and friends.
Young men and women pay New Year greetings to their elders. Since liberation, in order to enrich the cultural life of mass festivals, various literary and sports organizations have held various competitions during the festivals.
The Spring Festival is the oldest, most festive, warmest and most desirable traditional festival in China. Although Taizhou is not a big city, there are many customs of Spring Festival everywhere. As the saying goes, three miles is different from customs. ?
