What are the characteristics of the summer resort?
The lake-facing building in the north of Shui Xin, a summer resort, was originally the study of the Qing emperor, and the architectural layout adopted the method of northern quadrangles. Emperor Kangxi personally wrote The Sound of Moonlight River, which was based on Su Shi's Red Cliff Fu. Whenever there is silence on the Dongshan moon, I only see the lake clear and the waves lapping on the shore, which is quite poetic. The main entrance of the summer resort is engraved with the word "Li Zhengmen", which is also taken from the meaning of "the sun and the moon are in the sky" in the Book of Changes and carved in five languages: Chinese, Manchu, Mongolian, Tibetan and Uygur. The summer resort is divided into two parts: the palace area and the garden scenic area, and the garden scenic area is divided into three scenic areas: the lake area, the plain area and the mountain area, including thirty-six scenic spots with four characters of Kangxi and thirty-six scenic spots with three characters of Qianlong. As mentioned earlier, "Moonlight River Sound" and "Beauty Gate" are all named after different natural landscapes such as mountains, water, forests and springs according to various allusions of traditional culture and art, and it is precisely because the traditional gardens in China combine the beauty of scenery, art and culture that they are more attractive.
