What is a fragrant pig? How to raise fragrant pigs?

Xiang pig is a small local pig breed unique to China, with early maturity, fattening and tender meat. When suckling piglets or weaning piglets are slaughtered, they have no milk smell, so they are called fragrant pigs. It is mainly distributed in the northern part of Rongjiang, Libo and Rongshui counties at the junction of Guizhou and Guangxi, as well as Leishan and Danzhai counties. Each sow gives birth to 2-3 litters per year, with 8- 15 litters per litter. The feeding method is simple. The methods of pigsty, feed, feeding management and disease control are the same as those of domestic pigs, but the economic benefits are more than 10 times that of domestic pigs. The feed points are as follows:

(1) Select high-quality feed: barley, wheat, broken rice and brown rice are the best energy feed; Bean cake, soybean meal and peanut cake are suitable as feed for protein. Fish meal and silkworm pupa powder should be used less or not, and cottonseed cake and grain are prohibited.

(2) Scientific feeding: feeding with raw dry powder or wet mixture, and supplying clean drinking water throughout the fattening period. Don't open the fence or divide the fence in the middle of feeding to avoid fighting with each other and biting pigs.

(3) Strengthen health and epidemic prevention: Carry out health and epidemic prevention by raising pigs as usual.
