Lion dance was called "Taiping Music" in the old society. In northern Henan, Xinxiang, Jiaozuo, Anyang and other places have been circulating the local saying of "playing with lions". But it was widely developed in the Tang Dynasty. At that time, lion art has become a necessary program for China's New Year holiday and incense walking. It has a history of 1500 years.

In fact, "The Lion King strives for hegemony" means that all factions dance with lion heads and compete for the championship by force. The lion is a tribute brought back with the peacock after Emperor Wu of Han sent Zhang Qian to the Western Regions. After two thousand years of continuous development, it has gradually become our own thing in China, but now it can be roughly divided into north and south factions.

The northern lion is popular in the north of the Yangtze River. Its fur is gold, orange and red. It looks like a lifelike lion, very lifelike. Its performance is also close to juggling, that is, stepping on the ball, jumping off the bench and telling a lively story.

Nanshi, also known as Guangdong Lion Dance, is the origin of the film Huang Feihong III: The Lion King for hegemony, and is the most common lion dance. Compared with the northern lion, the southern lion is more colorful, decorated and abstract in style, and is popular in South China, Nanyang and overseas.
