What is the meaning of Tianhu, Di Hu, Ren Hu?

Tianhu, Tianhu, Dihu, Renhu is the term for mahjong.

Tianhu, or heavenly peace, is a form of mahjong draw that refers to a situation in which the dealer utilizes the 14 tiles he initially draws to make a draw. Only the dealer is able to achieve this, and it is a fairly rare form of draw, with a calculated probability of about 1 in 300,000.

Di hu is a form of mahjong draw in which the player draws a tile in the first turn, which is called a di hu (地和). In traditional Chinese mahjong, the player listens to the tiles in the starting hand, and when the dealer plays the first tile after everyone has made up their hwatu tiles, it is called a "draw" and is considered to be the dealer's point.

Renhu is a form of mahjong draw in which the player does not draw a tile, and then eats the draw. It can be in the form of a secret kong.

Special Rules

If the initial 14 tiles are utilized to make a dark kong in Japanese mahjong, it can be a form of a kokeshi. In Japanese mahjong, if the initial 14 tiles are used to make a dark kong and then the ridge is opened, the tenwa does not hold. However, in Taiwanese mahjong, as long as the dark kong is not played outward, a tenwa can be recognized, so the mahjong game developed in Taiwan recognizes a tenwa after a kong is played outward even if the rules of Japanese mahjong are used.

Japanese mahjong terminology, yakuman yakubi: the service in front of the door. The player draws without drawing a tile, and at the same time no one (including himself) eats, touches, or kongs. 1x yakumon (some rules count only slams or doubles).

Note: If a kong is robbed, the kong does not hold and does not destroy the manhwa, so the manhwa can be in the form of a kokushi robbing a concealed kong. It is not possible to rob a plus kong in Renhe.

Some local mahjong players in China have also added "Renhu" to their repertoire.

There is no "Renhe" in national standard mahjong
