A brief history of logical development

1. Logic has three origins, namely ancient China, Indian and Greek.

Second, the development of modern logic

1 ? Francis, English philosopher,17th century. Bacon put forward scientific induction, which laid the foundation of inductive logic. Bacon's main work is "New Tools", in which he proposed "three-table method" and "exclusion method".

After bacon, the English philosopher John. Mill inherited and developed Bacon's inductive logic, and in his book Logical System:

Inductive method and deductive method (the Chinese translation of which is Yan Fu's A Study of Mill's Name) systematically expounded five methods for finding causality, namely, duplication method, difference method, coincidence difference grouping method, * * transformation method and residual method, which were called "john stewart Mill" in the history of logic.

1662, Bohr. The publication of the Logic of Royal marks the basic stereotype of traditional logic which integrates deduction, induction and general methods.

2 ? From18th century to19th century, German classical philosophers Kant and Hegel also studied logic. Kant first used the name "formal logic", and since then, "formal logic" has been widely adopted. Hegel put forward the first dialectical logic system in the history of logic. Although his dialectical logic system is based on idealism, it contains many reasonable cores and profound thoughts.

3 ? /kloc-After the middle of the 0/9th century, Marx, Engels and Lenin made many incisive expositions on logic and made important contributions to enriching and developing general logic.

3./Kloc-Leibniz, a German philosopher in the 0/7th century, is recognized as the founder of mathematical logic, because he put forward the idea of dealing with deductive logic by mathematical methods and turning reasoning into logical calculus. /kloc-in the 9th century, the British mathematician Boolean established "logical algebra" (Boolean algebra), which made Leibniz's thought come true. Subsequently, Frege, Russell and Whitehead established two basic calculus of mathematical logic, namely propositional calculus and predicate calculus. On this basis, mathematical logic has developed into a new discipline.
