[Selected Travels] Hancheng Ancient City (30)
Because of work accidents, this winter vacation was fragmented by being on duty, visiting relatives and coping with the New Year Festival, and many travel plans were delayed. So, when I stepped into Hancheng again, I began to think about picking up the camera and aiming at this small town again.
Hancheng Old Town is a large residential community except Dangjia Village, located in the south of Hancheng New Town, covering an area of about 20 square kilometers. With the main street as the central axis, dozens of streets and lanes radiate, and there are countless classical houses beside the lanes. There was an in-depth visit about ten years ago, but unfortunately the equipment was not good and the photos left were not satisfactory. So today I entered this "thick article" with a SLR.
It is called "thick prose" because there are many great writers in the history of Hancheng, not to mention Sima Qian. Wang Jie, the prime minister of the Qing Dynasty who moved his capital to Hekun, is also famous in historical facts, and other censors and civil servants are emerging one after another. These prominent cultural histories have been most intensively displayed in the old city of Hancheng, especially in the frontispiece and by the door.
There are three famous temples in the old city, namely Confucian Temple, Guan Gong Temple and City God Temple. Confucian Temple and Guan Gong Temple are integrated. Today, they just passed by the front door and didn't participate. Chenghuang Temple has long belonged to the campus of hancheng city Chengguan Middle School. At that time, it was swept in a hurry, but due to years of disrepair and serious damage, except for a big stage, I was not impressed. In recent years, after renovation, the Chenghuang Temple has basically recovered its original appearance and opened to the outside world. I can also see its whole picture during this time.
The Martyrs Cemetery in the north of Hancheng Old Town was built on the former site of Yuanjue Temple at 1958, also known as "Hancheng Jinta Park". The Golden Pagoda is only one of the brick pagodas in the Jin Dynasty. It is very well preserved, but tourists are not allowed to board it.
Three scenic spots around the old city, the City God Temple and the Martyrs Cemetery, were swept away in more than two hours because of their familiarity. The photos taken are also for a quick look. In fact, they were all in a bad mood at that time, just waiting for another opportunity to re-enter this "rich" land.
