Brief introduction of gongs and drums classics

The so-called "Gong and Drum Classic" is a percussion notation commonly used in Chinese traditional instrumental music and traditional operas, also known as "Gong Classic", which is mainly composed of percussion instruments such as drums, boards, gongs, cymbals and drums, so as to set off solemnity, leisure, lyricism, nervousness, fierceness and consternation on the stage.

In order to let each player play the right instrument at the right time and let the actors know clearly when there must be what kind of gongs and drums, each performance style has been given a name, such as four blows, slow long hammer, fierce wind and so on. And each style of gongs and drums has specific pronunciation and symbols, such as "Taiwan" for small gongs, "Kuang" for big gongs and "Seven" for cymbals. Isn't it interesting?
