The name of an American movie.
"Selling Out the Male" is about a black man whose career has fallen on hard times and who helps 19 lesbians get pregnant. What it evokes is America's fear of traditional ethics. Like "The Philadelphia Story," the movie flaunts a kind of Americana, a yearning for rights and freedoms that repeatedly grinds against the country's laws and morals. The film is also notable for its pregnant lesbians, most of whom are also people of color (including Chinese actress Bai Ling, who plays a Chinese-American), and for Spike Lee, who is black, and who intentionally places his protagonist at the intersection of two discriminated groups.
In addition to discussing social issues, the movie actually discusses the love of the main character. The first person the hero "serves" is his old girlfriend, and this relationship is quite delicate. When the baby is born, the hero holds them, and although he has already won the lawsuit, in his heart, he thinks that it is not so simple.
