Weird west subverts traditional myths.

Shan Hai Jing represents the oriental civilization and is an ancient fantasy world compiled by the ancients in the pre-Qin period. Ancient Greece represented western civilization and produced countless stories of ancient gods. In short, there are many absurdities in describing the ancient world. Surprisingly, however, Shan Hai Jing and ancient Greece both recorded the same kind of prehistoric weirdo, which was originally thought to be just a coincidence myth, but now there is really a new discovery.

Shan Hai Jing and ancient Greece recorded the so-called "Cyclops", that is, a person with only one eye on his face. It seems impossible, but there are similar records in Shan Hai Jing and ancient Greece.

"Shan Hai Jing Overseas North Jing" records that "the one-eyed country is in its east, and the one-eyed one lives in its face". Huainanzi, edited by Liu An in the Western Han Dynasty, records that one eye is one of the 36 overseas countries, and its person is called one eye, that is, one eye is in the middle of the plane. This strange appearance makes normal people very scared, so it is recorded in Haibei Jing that "the ghost country is in the north of Er Fu's body and is considered as" the ghost country ". In addition, Beiye Jing also recorded a one-eyed man, "One-eyed man, born with a face. "Son of Shao Hao, eat millet".

Surprisingly, there are similar records in ancient Greece. There is an eye in the middle of the forehead, which was called "Cyclops" in ancient Greece. It became the overlord of Eurasian grassland about 3000 to 2500 years ago.

In the 7th century BC, the ancient Greek poet Herodotus recorded in history that when he came to Easton's territory, it was the residence of the one-eyed tribe. Their territory extends to the sea. One-eyed people are an aggressive people. They drove away the Scythians and occupied the whole ocean.

Scholars confirmed that both Cyclops and Cyclops lived in the Altai Mountains through textual research of Shan Hai Jing and Herodotus' records. Through the verification of the activity area, it can be confirmed that Cyclops and Cyclops belong to the same race.

Cyclops is not a myth? Archaeology gives the answer. Shan Hai Jing was written in the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, which is similar to the history of Herodotus. It is extremely rare for two books to record the same strange race at the same time in world history. However, it is hard to accept that a person really existed, which is not a myth and legend. After all, it has greatly subverted our cognition. Archaeological discoveries in many places have given some answers to this.

First, the "Mishima Haizi Site Group" is located in Sanhaizixia Ranch, Qinghe, Xinjiang, in a valley in the watershed of East Altai Mountain. Since ancient times, it has been a traffic artery connecting Mongolia and Xinjiang. According to archaeological findings, archaeologists confirmed that this is a high-level large-scale sacrificial site, and the ancestors of the site worshipped the sun. The site dates from 2800 to 2500 years ago, which is very consistent with the records in Yimou in time and region. (Below, the largest Huahaizi Stonehenge in the Mishima Haizi site group)

Secondly, in the 1990s, archaeologists discovered a large number of ancient rock paintings in Helan Mountain, Ningxia, including two giant rock paintings in Cyclops. The person in the picture has only one big eye, which is located in the middle of the face. Their heads are round, their eyes are window-shaped, and there are two arcs under their heads. They are holding crops like ears of wheat in their hands, which is a typical image of Cyclops.

Thirdly, in the Minosk basin in Siberia, archaeologists discovered a group of stone carvings. All the stone statues are carved with a third eye in the middle of the forehead, and there are various patterns around the real eye, which makes people look as if there is only one eye on their faces, thus giving people the impression of the sun. A similar discovery was made in Eurasia.

Based on these archaeological findings, the so-called "Cyclops" does not mean that there is only one eye, but probably represents the "god eye" between the two eyes, and this "god eye" is actually the product of sun worship. Some scholars believe that the one-eyed China people wearing one-eyed masks seem to worship and imitate some kind of "phenomenon" and dress up in witchcraft, so the myth of "one-eyed people" has been misinformed.

Today, there is still a tradition of terror in Tibet, Nepal and other regions. When a child is very young, the tribe will cut a small mouth on his forehead with a knife and then put black beads in it. When he grew up, the meat seam split and his forehead looked like an eye standing upright. This bizarre worship makes other clans very afraid, so it is also called ghost clan. Perhaps, this is the truth of the eyes.
