Yellow Emperor war Chi You background and after

Yellow Emperor war Chi You story, from China's ancient wonders of the book "Classic of Mountains and Seas", in the Chinese myths and legends and oriental myths of the father of the Chinese myths and legends of the Chinese myths and legends written by Yuan Ke is very wonderful. The Yellow Emperor Ji Xuanyuan's Yuxiong was sandwiched between the Shennong and Jiu Li tribes. At that time, these three tribes were the most powerful between the middle reaches of the Yellow River and the Fenshui River, and so the battle for supremacy began. Ji Xuanyuan was afraid of being attacked from both sides, so he adopted a pre-emptive strategy and attacked the Shennong tribe, defeating them in a battle in the countryside of the Hanquan River.

Ji Xuanyuan took advantage of the victory and swung his army across the Yellow River, advancing all the way to Zhuo Lu, the base of the Jiu Li Tribe, and the battle was fought in the Zhuo Lu countryside, which is one of the earliest and most famous great battles in history.

Chinese mythologists have deified this battle between the Yellow Emperor and Chiyu, with both sides employing the magic powers of the gods and immortals, and the wind and rain masters coming to the battle. In the end, the Yellow Emperor defeated the Jiu Li tribe and killed Chi You.

This famous battle so that Ji Xuanyuan shocked the world at that time, the tribal chieftains called embraced him as the "son of heaven", and honored him as "Yellow Emperor". The Yellow Emperor is the land of the yellow color.

The Battle of Hanquan

In the 27th century BC, there were more than 10,000 tribes of various sizes in the middle reaches of the Yellow River and the lower reaches of the Fen River alone. Among them, three tribes were the most powerful, one was the Shennong tribe, which was in decline, based in Chenqiu (Huaiyang, Henan Province), with the chief Jiang Yuwu, a descendant of the Shennong clan, one of the Five Clans.

One is the tough and warlike Jiu Li tribe, based in Zhuo Lu (Zhuo Lu County, Hebei Province), chief Chi You; he had nine sons, all of whom were warriors, and the nearby tribes all submitted to his control.

The other one is the newly-emerged Youxiong tribe which seems to have a higher cultural standard (this tribe apparently used the bear as a totem, or else they must have raised bear warriors), based in Youxiong (Xinzheng, Henan Province), chief Ji Xuanyuan; he had great wisdom and great ability, combining politicians, scientists, militarists and magicians in one.

The three tribes were fighting for supremacy, and in the situation, the Xiong tribe was sandwiched between the Shennong tribe and the Jiu Li tribe, and there was a danger of fighting on two sides. So Ji Xuanyuan decided to pre-empt the war. He first attacked the Shennong tribe, and in a battle in the countryside of Hanquan (坂泉, Zhuo Lu County, Hebei Province), he routed the Shennong tribe and captured the enemy's entire population, cattle and sheep.

The Battle of Zhuo Lu

Then Ji Xuanyuan, riding on the aftermath of his victory, waved his army across the Yellow River and pushed on to Zhuo Lu, the base of the Jiu Li tribe. The battle took place in the Zhuo Lu countryside, which was one of the earliest and most famous battles in history, with the two armies locked in a stalemate, indistinguishable from each other. Chi You, like Ji Xuanyuan, was also a figure of divinity. He opened his mouth and spewed out a rolling fog that did not disperse for three days and three nights, and the soldiers of the Arisuga tribe were lost.

Ji Xuanyuan then invented the guide car, so that his troops, although in the fog, can still recognize the road. Chi and to the wind god of rain god for help, immediately blowing the wind, pulling down the trees, rainfall waterfalls, the earth waves, a sea. Ji Xuanyuan also exerted his magic power to summon the goddess Droughtrought to help.

The Drought Demon's appearance is hideous, said to be a zombie turned, eyes born on the top of the head, hair is a small snake, body full of white hair, wherever they go, not even a drop of rain, often a drought of three years, thousands of miles of bare ground, all creatures, all the thirst and death. People shiver when they hear her name, but it is most appropriate to ask her to appear against the God of Wind and God of Rain. As soon as she appeared, the god of wind and rain fled in confusion, and all of a sudden the wind stopped and the rain stopped, the waters disappeared, and the mud dried up.

Ji Xuanyuan took the opportunity to counterattack, Jiu Li tribe defeated, Chi You died in battle, the remnants of the people fled to the south, settled in the present Guizhou Province in the middle of the mountains, is said to be the ancestors of the Miao nationality.

Famous in the Central Plains

This great battle demonstrated the invincible strength of the tribes of the bears, so that Ji Xuanyuan shocked the world at that time. So the fearful chiefs of the tribes embraced him with fear and trembling as the "Son of Heaven" and honored him as the "Yellow Emperor". The significance of the Son of Heaven is that he is the favorite son of the Master of Heaven, and of course, he is the supreme one.

The original meaning of "emperor" is the same as the original meaning of "emperor" and "clan", the same as gods and goddesses, but the divinity is reduced again, so it can be said that it belongs to the fourth level. The Yellow Emperor is a deity of yellow color. This was exactly the status that Ji Xuanyuan desired, and he set up his capital at his tribe's base at Youxiong (Xinzheng, Henan Province) to establish the Yellow Emperor dynasty.

He decreed that disputes between tribes should not be resolved by force, as he had done, but should be brought to him instead, and that he should judge right and wrong for them all in his capacity as the son of heaven.

The date of the establishment of the Yellow Emperor's dynasty is said by ancient historians to be 2698 BC. This is an important date, and the Chinese have tried many times to use this year as the beginning of the chronicle, as the Western nations used the year of Jesus' birth as the beginning of the chronicle, in place of the chaotic system of years based on the personalities of the emperors, which is peculiar to China.

This proposition succumbed to the pressures of autocracy and did not succeed. But its memorable value is obvious.
