1. Different materials use different inks.

The materials commonly used for making signs and panels are metal, plastic, adhesive, etc. Metals are divided into coated and uncoated. There are many kinds of plastics, including ABS, PC, PVC, PET, PP, plexiglass and so on. The surface of self-adhesive material is paper, plastic and aluminum foil. When screen printing these materials, the first thing to consider is the binding force between ink and substrate. Screen printing ink manufacturers produce different kinds of screen printing inks for different materials. When buying ink, you should first read the instructions to see if the selected varieties are suitable.

2. Try printing after ink selection to check whether the appearance effect and reliability meet the requirements.

After selecting the ink, you should try printing. First check whether the appearance effect is satisfactory, such as whether the color is bright, whether the thickness is appropriate, and whether the transparent ink has impurities.

In addition, different screen printing often has different special requirements, some require high and low temperature resistance, some require good wear resistance, and some require resistance to alcohol and gasoline. These special requirements should be checked during the trial printing, and can only be put into production after they are qualified.

3. When choosing screen printing inks, we should also compare their performance.

In the screen printing operation, it is hoped that the ink is not easy to block the screen, dry quickly, smooth and soft, toothpaste-like ink is easy to use, and viscous ink is not easy to use. We hope that the ink will dry slowly on the screen without blocking the screen, but it will dry quickly after printing. Generally, light-cured ink is easy to dry quickly without blocking the net; You can also use volatile dry ink with good performance and mix it properly; With thermosetting ink, it is not easy to block the screen when printing, but it dries slowly and needs heating; Two-liquid active ink has good screen printing performance and fast drying. In addition, the viscosity of ink should be appropriate, that is, thick and thin, firm, non-sticky, and leveling, so that the edges of text lines printed on screen can be neat and the handwriting is full.

Generally, high-grade printed parts should choose high-grade imported oil black, such as printing light boxes. And the low-grade printing part chooses low-priced ordinary ink. In addition, it depends on the thickness of ink, such as volatile dry ink, which is also a barrel of one kilogram of ink. Some are diluted, some are thick, and can only be used after adding diluent. Comparing the two, perhaps the latter is more worth choosing.

I. metallic ink

Two-liquid reactive ink and thermosetting ink with very good adhesion are often used for screen printing on smooth metal surfaces to obtain good adhesion. In order to improve the binding force, the metal surface is often oxidized to improve the binding force with ink. For example, Seiko, Imperial and Shanghai Ink Factory all have metallic ink with good performance.

Spray some paint on the metal surface, such as amino paint and alkyd paint. It should be selected according to the performance of the painted surface. If ammonia-based paint is sprayed under the above circumstances, glass ink and instrument ink from Tianjin Ink Factory can be selected for screen printing, which has good adhesion, low price and convenient use.

Second, plastic ink.

1. Printing logo on polyethylene plastic bags usually requires EDM before printing. If it has been made into a pocket and needs screen printing, you can choose untreated polyethylene screen printing ink produced by Zhejiang Yuhang Xingqiao Screen Printing Ink Factory, which can basically meet the general requirements.

2. Screen printing on polypropylene film or bottle

3. Screen printing ink for PVC materials

PVC is divided into soft and hard, and some manufacturers use two kinds of inks respectively, such as Wuxi Hudai Ink Factory; Some manufacturers use an ink, both soft and hard PVC, and IPI, Toyo and Jinlong also have this ink.

4.4 ink. ABS and PC materials

Some of these inks are special, such as Jinlong 25 series, which are specially used for ABS. The commonly used IPI7 and 8 prefix inks, Toyo 7 and 8 prefix inks and Jinlong 10 series inks can all be printed on ABS, PC and hard PVC. Silver powder, namely aluminum powder, is made of 1 000 mesh aluminum powder and 777 varnish. If the content of gold powder or silver powder is small, the metal feeling is not strong; Excessive metal powder will produce floating color after screen printing. At present, Singapore EPK ink has ready-made inks (gold and silver), with uniform texture, strong metallic feeling and good performance after screen printing, which is suitable for PVC materials.

2. Translucent Bai Mo

Bai Mo is diluted by adding colorless transparent ink, so that the content of titanium dioxide is reduced and becomes translucent.

3. Transparent ink

Commercial transparent inks include colorless transparent and transparent screen printing inks, such as red, green, blue and yellow. Transparent window screen printing is often used for PC soft board and transparent PC panel. It is made of transparent pigments of various colors, and the price is relatively expensive. Screen printing requires thin and uniform, without mottled spots.

4. Four-color stippling

The ink factory produces a variety of monochrome inks and four-color dot inks, and it is not possible to replace four-color dot inks with monochrome inks with the same hue, because the former is opaque and the latter is transparent. The latter two colors can be added together to become a third color, such as printing blue on yellow to become green; If you use opaque ink, it will only cover it up. There are different kinds of four-color dot inks (PVC, synthetic paper, plexiglass, etc. ), so you can't use it wrong. Because different materials need different inks, the adhesion is good.

5. Conductive ink

There are carbon ink and silver ink. The silver ink here is metallic silver, which is very expensive and can be printed on the circuit board of the touch switch. Carbon ink printed TV remote controller circuit board.

6. Etching ink, imitation etching ink and anti-etching ink

Etching ink is an ink printed directly on glass. Printed characters and graphics are left on the glass for 5 ~ 10 min, and then washed off with water to form characters and graphics on the sand surface instead of the original HF corrosion sand blasting process. This kind of ink is available in Canada, South Korea and China, and can also be bought in the market.

Imitation etching ink is a kind of ink printed on gold and silver cardboard by screen printing, which forms a matte effect after light curing, both imported and domestic.

Anti-corrosion ink, also known as anti-corrosion ink, can screen print circuit boards or signs, and can withstand the corrosion of ferric chloride and copper dichloride after printing. Then remove it with lye. This kind of ink is made in China, imported and can be purchased.

7. Other inks, such as fluorescent ink, luminous ink, reflective film, etc., are used for the production of signs and exhibition boards, and can be selected according to different situations.

8. Ink for self-adhesive materials

There are paper, PVC, PET, PP, aluminum foil and so on. On the surface of self-adhesive materials, ink is selected according to the different surface materials.

The surface is paper, any ink can be used, whatever you have at hand can be used, based on the principle of good printing, quick drying and cheap;

The surface is PVC, which can be printed with PVC ink, such as Singapore EPK ink and Taiwan Province Great World ink.

The surface is PET plus special ink, such as 3# ink of Yuhang Xingqiao Ink Factory;

The surface is PP film, but after coating treatment, it is not necessary to use polypropylene ink, and the choice of ink is very wide, so you can try a variety of inks.

If the surface is metal aluminum foil, dry metallic ink should be selected.
