Who advocated and cared for the gluttonous patterns of Shang bronzes unearthed in Zhengzhou?

Zujue with gluttonous patterns, 1954, unearthed in Yangzhuang, Zhengzhou, Henan Province, is an early drinking vessel of Shang Dynasty, with a height of 18.7 cm and a tail length of 14 cm, which is collected in Henan Provincial Museum.

The abdomen is segmented, relatively flat and deep, with a thick neck and a large flow, extending straight forward. It has a single column and a big hat. Its three legs are triangular and conical, thin and long. There is a circular arc on one side of the abdomen, and the abdomen is decorated with gluttonous lines. This object is a rare treasure among many bronze barons, and its body is vigorous and steady, and its shape is tall and straight.

This kind of knight is mainly because its single column is relatively rare, and bronze knights are generally double columns. According to textual research, some people think it is used to hang nets to filter wine dregs.

Later, the practical function of this column gradually decreased, and it was more used as decoration. As shown in the figure, the Jue column should be a kind of modeling decoration to increase the upward momentum of the utensils, so it is estimated that it should be a utensil in the late Shang Dynasty.
