Was the Yalak Dance spread to Korea for ceremonial purposes?
The Yalak dance continued until the Qing Dynasty, and was added, deleted, and compiled according to the needs of the dynasty. Up to the present day, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia have preserved the Yalakudo, which was handed down from mainland China. In some areas, it is used to worship Confucius, while in others, it is adapted according to the needs of their own countries. The Yagaku handed down to South Korea is used for rituals, and in 1995, the ritual music and dance of South Korea was recognized by UNESCO as a "World Cultural Heritage". In China, the Confucius Temple in Qufu, Shandong Province, still uses Yalak to worship Confucius, and it is one of the tourist attractions.
