Who founded karate?
Karate originated in Ryukyu, which is a combination of ancient Ryukyu fighting skill and boxing introduced to Japan by China 500 years ago. At that time, in the high society of sulfur ball, China's boxing was secretly referenced, and a unique' Tang hand' was created, that is, the original' karate'. Before Tang Hand, there were two names, Naha Hand and Shouli Hand, which were mainly based on regional differences and became the origins of various schools of karate today.
However, karate really spread to Japan after May 1922. Funakoshi Gichin (1870- 1957), the president of Okinawa Wushu Association, went to Tokyo to perform the Tang Handicraft in a sports exhibition hosted by the Japanese Ministry of Education, which soon spread in Japan. 1935, Funakoshi Gichin published a book "Karate Teaching Method", and Tang Shou officially changed its name to "Karate". Therefore, Funakoshi Gichin is honored as the "father of modern karate", and his "Song Tao Ge Liu" has also become the largest karate school in the world.
