When did suona spread? What is its shape?
Play a wind instrument. Also called trumpet, the smaller one is called Haidi. Suona is a transliteration of Arabic surna, which was introduced to China in the Jin and Yuan Dynasties and spread widely. Its shape is that eight sound holes (front 7, back 1) are made on a cone-shaped wooden pipe, the lower end is connected with a copper bell mouth, the upper end is equipped with a thin copper pipe, and a reed whistle is sleeved on the copper pipe. The traditional suona is arranged into seven tones according to the sound holes, which can be changed into seven tones with a range of two octaves. The timbre is high and bright, and the volume is loud, so it can be softened by playing with a soft whistle.
