From College Students to Adult Students —— Essays
In 2003, Yin Yan, a Beijing girl, was admitted to Beijing University of Chinese Medicine with excellent results, majoring in traditional Chinese medicine. In fact, at first, Yin Yan didn't know much about her major. Although both aunts were born in western medicine, Yin Yan felt that it was too difficult to study medicine because there were endless books and terminology. However, under the persuasion of her learned father, she finally chose Chinese medicine. In Yin Yan's eyes, her father is a "saint". There seems to be nothing he can't do, especially her father's Chinese medicine bonesetting and massage, which made Yin Yan feel the profoundness of China's traditional medical skills. So when she volunteered, she finally chose Chinese medicine as her major.
When she first started studying, Yin Yan was bored. As a child growing up in a city, Yin Yan doesn't know much about many plants. Many students from Guizhou and other places can learn a lot about Chinese herbal medicine, which makes Yin Yan feel pressure. When studying herbs, Yin Yan always finds it difficult to imagine what they look like in nature through the illustrations in textbooks. Later, the teacher took them to the medicinal materials distribution center to identify medicinal materials and collect them on the spot in the mountains, which greatly increased Yin Yan's interest. The adult college entrance examination "The story of the adult college entrance examination changing from an ordinary undergraduate to an adult student". She found some incomprehensible herbs from the pictures, which can be known when she goes to the field. In order to know the taste of Chinese herbal medicine, the teacher asked the students to taste it themselves. For those medicinal materials with flavor, they were spat out soon after tasting, but Yin Yan accidentally swallowed them in her throat when tasting "Notopterygium", and the strong spicy taste made her remember deeply. This lively way of learning made Yin Yan gradually like Chinese medicine, and Chinese herbal medicine came alive in her mind, and her understanding of Chinese medicine gradually enhanced her interest in China's traditional medical skills.
After studying Chinese medicine, Yin Yan became more and more interested in herbs. She believes that the definition of Chinese medicine is "natural medicine applied under the clinical guidance of Chinese medicine". Without Chinese medicine, it is no longer a complete Chinese medicine.
In Yin Yan's mind, medicine is homologous and should not be separated. The school is divided into Chinese medicine and Chinese medicine for teaching needs, but when chatting with some friends who study Chinese medicine, she found that those who study Chinese medicine sometimes don't know much about Chinese medicine. I have a certain understanding of Chinese medicine now. Only by studying Chinese medicine again can we broaden our knowledge and improve our learning system.
Yin Yan felt that her lack of knowledge of TCM caused her own "short board" of knowledge. In her eyes, the knowledge of Chinese medicine is vast and self-contained, and it is necessary to make up for the "short board" through learning. She hopes to lay a foundation for studying Chinese medicine in the future through the adult college entrance examination, and the knowledge of prescription and diagnosis in the future can be systematically studied and improved through adult education. The purpose of Chinese medicine is to diagnose and treat with what method; The purpose of Chinese medicine is to judge whether Chinese herbal medicine is useful, what effective ingredients it contains and what diseases it can target. Only when Chinese medicine and Chinese medicine complement each other can we make up for the "short board" in knowledge, and choosing amateur study in adult education is the best way to improve their own quality after work.
Before the college entrance examination last year, Yin Yan attended the remedial class organized by Antong School. When the students learned about her learning experience, they were all surprised that she had taken the undergraduate course of adult examination again, and felt that she was "wasting her youth" by choosing adult examination instead of postgraduate entrance examination. Yin Yan disagrees with this. In her view, education is not the only goal. Some people with high education are not necessarily better than those with low education.
For other people's views, cheerful Yin Yan doesn't care. She believes that learning is not a waste of youth, but the best way to expand it. Through studying, I found pleasure and improved my quality, which can't be exchanged for any degree.
