Classic Prose for Mid-Autumn Festival
The Mid-Autumn Festival has a long history, right? It is said to have begun in the Tang Dynasty, flourished in the Song Dynasty, and by the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was already a traditional festival on a par with the Spring Festival. Speaking of the memory of the Mid-Autumn Festival, I feel a little fuzzy. When I was a child, Mid-Autumn Festival was all about eating mooncakes. Every year on the Mid-Autumn Festival, there are always mooncakes. There were few delicacies in my childhood, and mooncake was one of them. Every year when the Mid-Autumn Festival was approaching, I was looking forward to my parents hurrying to finish their relatives, and then I could eat mooncakes. At that time, there were fewer types of mooncakes, and the most common and favorite was the five-kernel mooncake. Crispy big white skin, inside the soft, sweet filling, gently wrapped in the outside, was oil stained through the paper uncovered, the first inside the broken moon cake crumbs, a little licked into the mouth, and then began to gently bite a few mouthfuls. The sweet, sesame and reddish flavored filling slowly spreads in your mouth, making you feel satisfied. I've heard people say that mooncakes are often eaten with the family sitting around and sharing them, but I don't have such memories. I remember that on August 15, there was still a lot of farm work in the field, either to plow the land, to smash the bumps, or to pack up the corn stalks in the field,......, and the adults would always be busy, the Mid-Autumn Festival was not so grand. My father would occasionally look up at the full moon from the patio, and if it happened to be a clear day, he would happily say, "The moon is big and full this year, it's a good year." The mooncakes of my childhood were few and far between, and I ate one or two of them every year. Occasionally, I saw some of my classmates eating mooncakes with bean paste filling, and the skin was not the kind of crispy skin that you need to hold and eat, so I was very envious, and I gulped while looking forward to the day when I could eat such a mooncake.
When I was older, I realized that the Mid-Autumn Festival is not just about eating mooncakes, but also about sacrificing and enjoying the moon. Zhou Zuoren, a famous modern writer, said in "Medicine Hall Quotes - the moon in the Mid-Autumn Festival": "Commonly known as the moon is called 'moon mother-in-law', the Mid-Autumn Festival for vegetarian mooncakes and old pumpkin, and a bowl of cold water. Women and children worship, with a finger dipped in water painted eyes, wishing that 'eyes cool'". This is the custom of shaoxing, zhejiang province. But I also vaguely recalled that when my grandmother was alive, there was also such a similar ceremony. I remember my grandmother to put the family table in the patio, the table with some apples, grapes, peach cake, moon cakes and other kinds of snacks, and then light a few incense burners, and so incense burning a dozen minutes, drop "incense cap", then start burning paper. The fire paper stacks apart, mouth chanting "moon grandmother," "the old mother of the earth palace" ...... and other gods and goddesses of the name, is very pious, burned paper but also kowtow a few times, of course, although I do not understand, but also to follow the kowtow. I don't understand, but also to follow the kowtow, only kowtow, eyes always staring at the table. When I can't wait to pick up the offerings and eat them, my grandmother would take a bowl of water, dip her finger in it, and wipe it on my eyes, saying that she would let "Grandma Moon" bless her grandson's eyes, and that he would study well and not develop "eye boils" and so on.
Some older, I am most envious of those literati who can recite poems and enjoy the moon on Mid-Autumn Festival. Legend has it that Song Xiang, a talented scholar from the eastern part of Guangdong who was called the most talented man in the world by Jiajing, asked a few scholars to enjoy the moon on the Mid-Autumn Festival, and then chanted the first line of the poem: "The moon is full in the sky, and it's half full on earth, and it's half full on the moon"; a few scholars couldn't come up with a comparable second line until the eve of the New Year, when he thought that tomorrow would be the New Year, and then he drew up the second line of the poem: "The end of the year is tonight, and the first part of the year will be tomorrow, and the first part will be the last part of the year". This is really a marvelous couplet. The story of this kind of poetry is countless, and I am also more and more envious and yearning.
There are many Mid-Autumn Festival customs, and for me, the last thing I want to mention is reunion. The Mid-Autumn Festival as a family reunion festival, but also in the hearts of people gradually important. My parents died a long time ago, the Mid-Autumn Festival for me is the "Mid-Autumn Moon Festival, the moon is not round, orphans think of their relatives, pro pro pro is not to". Every year, the Mid-Autumn Festival is like a knife that cuts my heart. I think if my parents were around, I would have led my wife and children to buy a lot of mooncakes of all kinds for them to savor. Su-style, Cantonese-style, lotus seed paste, red bean paste ...... I have to buy. I remember one year we ate a kind of Boshan produced mooncakes, than we usually buy the kind to be a lot of soft, delicious a lot of mother ate a small piece of it, so much so that after eating mooncakes will be mentioned. Now I know that the best brand of mooncake from Boshan is called "Jingde Dong" - if my parents were still alive, I would buy a lot of "Jingde Dong" if they liked it! If they liked the "Golden Crisp", I would also buy a lot of ......
But there is no if, the moon in the Mid-Autumn Festival is still so full, the five kernel mooncake is still so sweet in the mouth. So, on this day of reunion, I am always accompanied by the cool moonlight, and full of 'thoughts'.
Mid-Autumn Festival Classic Prose Part 2
Mid-Autumn is a beautifully imagined myth that has been passed down from one thousand years to ten thousand years, and Mid-Autumn is a period of stranded and continuous longing, and a crop of strong thoughts from one generation to the next.
Bright moon *** words Mid-Autumn Festival
Mention of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the ancients wrote "people have sadness and happiness, the moon has a clear and sunny and round and short," "Tonight the moon is bright, I do not know who falls in the fall of autumn thoughts" or "The spring breeze is green again on the south bank of the river, when will the moon shine on me", this is sad, longing, round and short. However, in addition to the thick autumn makes people miss the feelings, there is also a kind of fun that is the desire for beautiful things.
The Mid-Autumn Festival was one of my favorite holidays as a child, because every Mid-Autumn Festival my parents would put down their work in the fields and take my brother and me on a walk to my grandmother's house two kilometers away to celebrate the festival. After dinner at Grandma's house, the moon was out when we rushed home. Grandpa prepared mooncakes, fruits and wine to offer to the moon, and the family enjoyed the moon, ate mooncakes with five kernel flavor, and listened to grandparents tell the story of Chang'e's journey to the moon, which was the same every year, and I never got tired of hearing about it. For me as a child, this time was full of happiness and a longing for beautiful things. In a foreign country to work alone in the days, every time I see the moon in the dark night round and bright, mind do not feel floating back to childhood and family together to enjoy the moon, let me feel that I am not a person, support me through one difficult pass.
The Mid-Autumn Festival has been going on since ancient times, and has gone beyond the meaning of the traditional festival itself. How many busy people, because of this day the family from different places together; and how many people because there is this spiritual pillar to support through how much wind and rain. I would like to say keep those beautiful scenes in your heart, take them out and share them with yourself when you are lonely, just like savoring a cup of mellow and sweet tea. Then full of strength to fight for the next goal.
August 15 Mid-Autumn Festival, bright moon, gossip, looking forward to incarnation of the stars, shuttle in the universe above, pour drunk under the moonlight, slow down the flow of years, slow down the years. A lifetime is not short or long, may all the friends in the foreign land, can stop the busy feet, go home to see the elderly parents, but also let them feel the warmth of the time of childhood.
