What does united front work mainly do?

According to the Regulations on the Work of the United Front of the Chinese **** Producer's Party (for Trial Implementation), issued on September 22, 2015, the work of the United Front mainly consists of:

I. Investigating and studying the theory of the United Front and the major guidelines and policies, and organizing and carrying out the policies and guidelines of the Central Committee of the C*** on the United Front; reflecting the situation to the Central Committee, and putting forward opinions and suggestions on the development of the work of the United Front

Secondly, it is responsible for investigating, researching, coordinating and checking major policy and guideline issues relating to ethnic and religious work;

Thirdly, it is responsible for carrying out overseas united front work focusing on the unification of the motherland; contacting relevant overseas associations and representatives; and doing a good job of work relating to Taiwan compatriots and their dependents.

Fourth, responsible for the arrangement of people outside the Party, and work with the relevant departments to do a good job of cultivating, selecting and recommending people outside the Party.

V. It is responsible for contacting democratic parties and representatives without party affiliation, informing them of the situation in a timely manner, and reflecting their opinions and suggestions; studying and implementing the multi-party cooperation and political consultation system under the leadership of the Party, as well as the guidelines and policies for the democratic parties; implementing the work of the Central Committee on giving full play to the roles of the democratic parties and representatives without party affiliation in participating in and deliberating on politics and in exercising democratic supervision; and supporting and assisting democratic parties in strengthening their own self-construction.

VI. Responsible for carrying out propaganda work for the United Front at home and abroad.
