Baoding Sports School is a full-time general secondary specialized school (with junior middle schools and primary schools for amateur training) to train high-level sports reserve talents and social sports backbones.

The school was founded in 1979, formerly known as Baoding key amateur sports school, and is a fully funded institution. 1985 was approved by the provincial education commission to establish Baoding vocational sports school, 1989 was renamed Baoding sports school; After the merger, it was renamed Baoding No.1 Sports School on 1996 with the approval of the municipal government, and it was renamed Baoding Sports School in 2005.
