Concepts and elements of adverse drug reactions

Adverse drug reactions (ADRs) refer to harmful but unexpected reactions that occur during the normal use of drugs according to the prescribed dosage, and have a causal relationship with drug use.

Three factors leading to adverse drug reactions are as follows:

(1) Adverse drug reactions include drugs, adverse reactions and adverse drug reactions.

① Drugs are the means or tools to treat diseases, and also the factors that cause adverse reactions.

② Adverse reactions are pathological phenomena. It may be caused by diseases or drugs.

③ Adverse drug reactions are pathophysiological changes caused by medication, including functional and organic changes.

(2) Adverse reactions are caused by three factors, namely drugs, organism and diseases.

① Only when drugs are used in the human body will adverse reactions occur.

② The complex internal environment and individual differences of the body make drugs produce "multiple" effects.

③ Diseases can change the body's influence on drugs and the effect of drugs on the body.

Classification of adverse drug reactions

1, harmful side effects to human body. For example, atropine is used to relieve dry mouth caused by gastrointestinal spasm.

2. Toxic reaction. Such as insomnia, tinnitus, anemia and liver function damage.

3, allergic reaction.

4. Three effects. Deformity, mutation, carcinogenesis, etc.

5. Legacy effect.

6. Secondary reaction.
