1, gongs and drums cabinet

The gongs and drums cabinet is actually a pavilion-sedan chair-type movable wooden cabinet made of flowers and wisps of wood, with vivid historical figures of various shapes carved on it, and equipped with various musical instruments for blowing, pulling, beating and percussion, and a performance team is formed by the cabinet as a unit. The performance of gongs and drums was popular in Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty, especially in Xingtan and Jun 'an. During Guangxu period, the gongs and drums in Gaozan Village of Xingtan went to Guangxi to play and won the championship of "Guangdong won the championship" in one fell swoop.

2. Burning cannon

The mountains and plains are bathed in festive songs, and the crowd is filled with the taste of happiness. Happiness and wishes are placed in the sound of happy guns, with colorful rain fluttering and long songs. Traditional charm is loud and clear in ancient folk customs. In Longjiang, Shunde, Guanyin Temple Fair, a local custom called "burning firecrackers", is still staged year after year among the lively crowd.

Shunde's rural folk art society (commonly known as "Private Bureau") is well known, especially Jun 'an, Rong Gui and Daliang. It is reported that a few years ago, when experts from the Chinese Music Association came to Shunde to evaluate the "hometown of Chinese Quyi", they even quoted "thousands of lights and strings" to describe the grand occasion of Shunde's private bureau.

In the evening, when the lights were on, the "friends" in twos and threes came to the ancestral temple at the entrance to the village. Although it is a ancestral temple, it is quite modern, and the pennant trophy in the window bears witness to the honor. Those who play the piano, the erhu, the flute and the gong are in their positions, and there is no ambiguity. Melodious music, accompanied by crisp and mellow songs, floated into the lights through the night sky.

4. Fish lamp

Shunde has the custom of "Lantern Festival and Spring Lantern Festival", and Daliang Lantern Festival also has a fish lantern festival. "Girder fish lamp" is a fishing boat with the characteristics of water town. Bamboo is tied into a fish-shaped skeleton, covered with bright yarn, painted with scales and fins, and lit with candles, which is lifelike.

5. Wushu culture

Shunde folk Wushu has a long history, and there were Wushu champions and Wushu explorations in Ming and Qing Dynasties. In the early years of the Republic of China, there were dozens of martial arts schools in Shunde, all of which enjoyed great fame. Bruce Lee, an international martial arts superstar whose ancestral home is Shunde, has carried forward Shunde martial arts culture.
