Its creation expresses the ancient people's struggle against the forces of nature and the pursuit of ideals, it is a spiritual support, human aspirations and the actualization of religious display, and has a profound influence on the literature and art of later generations.
Myth, as a form of folklore, is a highly fantastical story created by the people in ancient times to reflect the natural world, the relationship between man and nature, and social patterns.
The creation of myths was combined with the struggle of primitive man with nature for his own survival. At that time, the tools of production were rudimentary, and the unpredictable forces of nature posed a serious threat to mankind, while at the same time, primitive man's understanding of the objective world was at an extremely naive stage.
The operation of the sun and the moon, the changes of day and night, the emergence of water and drought, old age, sickness and death, etc., all make them confused, surprised and panic. All these natural phenomena are closely related to the production and life of the primitive human beings, who desperately wanted to know nature, so they took themselves as the basis and imagined that all things in heaven and earth have the same life and will as human beings.
For the process of natural phenomena and cause and effect relationship, but also to the earthly form of assumptions and fantasies, and thought that everything in nature are subject to the inspiration of God's master. Under the domination of this thought, all natural objects and natural forces were deified. Primitive man did not want to give in and waged a relentless struggle against nature, bent on the desire to know and conquer nature, to lighten his labor and to secure his livelihood.
They transformed this will and desire into concrete images and vivid plots through unconscious imagination, and thus myths came into being. It can be seen that myth is a kind of spiritual activity that primitive people attempted to know and control nature under those extremely difficult conditions, and at the same time, it also sent human aspirations and the actualization of the religious display.
