Cool colors are warmer the brighter they are. Cool tones are the green, blue, purple and the shades made up of them that give a cool feeling. Cool-toned colors have a contracting effect on the eye.
Expanded Information
Most gouache paints are more opaque, consisting of a powdery material that is held in place with glue for better coverage. So when painting gouache you often start with the darkest color.
Gouache paints can be covered in layers. If you have the patience you can also paint like an oil painting, but the colors are darker when the paint is wet and lighten when it dries.
And with purple such as rose red, violet these colors are easy to turn out. So it is not used as a base. Gouache pigments are very fine, and after dissolving with water, the color is very beautiful, but it can not cover the base color. Watercolor pigments such as ultramarine, ochre, and earth red are mineral pigments, which are easy to precipitate when used alone or mixed with other colors.
Colors can give people the feeling of "light and heavy"; white and yellow give people a lighter feeling, while red and black give people a heavier feeling. In home decoration, the top of the room (ceiling) is easy to choose light colors or brighter shades; while the wall and the ground can be appropriately aggravated, otherwise it gives a person the feeling of light-headedness.- Related articles
