China Classical Color

There are nine classical colors in China: amber, indigo, turquoise, fragrant face, cotinus coggygria, grass plum, light crimson, ochre autumn and sapphire.

There are nine ancient colors: amber, indigo, cyan, red, yellow, grass green, light crimson, ochre and blue. In ancient China, these nine ancient colors all had different meanings. In the Zhou Dynasty, red was an advanced clothing color. In the Qin Dynasty (22 BC1-206 BC), black was the highest dress color, and all emperors and officials wore black clothes. After the Qin Dynasty was destroyed by the Han Dynasty, yellow was gradually regarded as the highest clothing color, and the emperor wore yellow clothes. In the Tang Dynasty, the court ordered that all officials except the emperor were not allowed to wear yellow clothes.

Since then, this provision has continued until the last dynasty of China feudal society. The emperor's clothes are mostly mysterious clothes. Darkness is black, and darkness is crimson. The coronation ceremony used two colors, the upper symbol of the unknown sky and the lower symbol of the twilight zone.

Fourth, the name of cyan: green; Bright cyan is called sapphire; The turquoise color of jadeite bird feathers or the color of jadeite gemstones is called jadeite color; Duck egg green; Dark gray green is crab shell green; Crow green.
