Data extension: Kites were invented by the working people of ancient China during the Spring and Autumn Period of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, more than 2,000 years ago. According to legend, Mo Zhai made a wooden bird from wood, and it took three years to develop. It was the earliest kite in mankind. Later, Luban used bamboo to improve the material of Mo Zhai's kites. It was not until the Eastern Han Dynasty, after Cai Lun improved papermaking, that paper began to be used in the market. Making a kite is called a "paper kite".
