What does a grandmaster mean?
Feeding is a kind of confrontation training method in traditional Wushu, which is equivalent to boxing target feeding in modern fighting. This kind of training has certain practical significance.
Grandmaster is the first kung fu film prepared by Hong Kong director Wong Kar-wai for eight years, starring Tony Leung Chiu Wai, Zhang Ziyi, Zhang zhen, Zhao Benshan, Max Zhang, yang shen, Song Huijing and others.
The film tells the legendary life of many masters of "South-North Wulin" and a generation of Wulin master Ye Wen during the Republic of China.
Wong Kar-wai wants to reproduce the Wulin ecology of the Republic of China by preparing a generation of grandmasters. In order to obtain more historical materials, he spent three years visiting more than 0/00 folk kungfu masters from all over the country, including famous martial arts schools such as Wing Chun, Xingyiquan and Taiji, and little-known martial arts schools such as Bagua, Bajiquan and Tongbei. Some masters were moved by the director's sincerity, broke the restrictions of sects and told them all the stunts that disciples had reserved. During the visit, there were other touching stories, which greatly inspired Wong Kar-wai and injected various essences into the film.
