Pole Dance and Zhuang Opera
Zhuang people can sing and dance well. We saw the happy scene of the dance of the ancestors of Zhuang nationality from the cliff murals in Huashan Mountain. Most of the dances of Zhuang people are related to their productive labor, love and struggle life, which has a distinct realistic style and a strong flavor of life. The famous dances are Pole Dance, Pong Hall Dance, Tea Party, Transplanting Dance, Shrimp Fishing Dance, Hydrangea Dance, Bronze Man Dance, Triumph Dance, Bee Dance and Shoes Dance. "Pole Dance" is a typical dance that reflects productive labor. Generally, it consists of four links: transplanting rice, hydroponics, harvesting and threshing, and pounding rice. During the performance, the performer holds a pole around the wooden trough, singing and playing up and down, left and right. Although the form is simple, it is magnificent, with a strong sense of rhythm and a cheerful and warm scene. It fully shows the main labor scenes of farmers from growing grain to smashing rice. Therefore, it is deeply loved and welcomed by the Zhuang people. Today, every New Year, the masses still enjoy it.
