What are the days of fasting days
Six Lenten Days and Ten Lenten Days: It is written in the book "The Great Wisdom Treatise" that on these six days of each month, there will be a lot of evil ghosts following people to see who are doing evil, and corresponding to the evil, the evil ghosts will all follow you to make all the things you do unsuccessful and unlucky, and to invite disasters and illnesses. In order to avoid evil disasters, the sages told everyone to refrain from eating in the afternoon during these six days, and to observe fasting and cultivate blessings. According to the Earth Store Sutra, Ten Lent is the day on which all sins are gathered to determine their severity, and if one can read and recite the Earth Store Sutra once on this Ten Lent day to the holy statues of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, one will be free from all calamities for a hundred yuzen in the east, west, south, north and south.
