Fuel car ban! UK plans zero emissions by 2050
Britain will announce a new plan to ban the sale of fuel vehicles, banning the sale of new gasoline and diesel vehicles from 2035, five years earlier than originally planned, according to foreign media reports, while also saying it will set a goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
Prime Minister John is reported to have said Britain will host a major UN climate summit, COP26, in Glasgow in November,? which has been described as the most important meeting to tackle climate change since the signing of the Paris agreement in 2015.
The U.K. government has said it plans to stop selling new gasoline and diesel cars and vans, including hybrids, by 2035, with the start of the ban possibly earlier if a faster transition is possible.
