What is Taiwanese opera?

Taiwanese opera [1] is one of the traditional operas of the Han nationality in Fujian and Taiwan. It has a history of 100 years. According to legend, Gezi Opera was developed from Gezi (Jin Song) in Zhangzhou, Fujian, which combined the image of Chegu Opera with local ballads. "Gezi" was originally a kind of rap art, which spread in Zhangzhou from the Ming Dynasty. Jinge is a four-sentence Han folk tune (seven or five sentences are one sentence).
