What is flash storage?
flash storage means that flash EPROM is a form of electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (EEPROM). Flash memory is allowed to be erased or written many times during operation, and it is non-volatile, that is, it does not need power consumption just to save data. Flash memory is different from traditional EEPROM in that it erases data in a large block, while traditional EEPROM can only erase and rewrite a single storage location. This makes flash have obvious advantages when writing a large amount of data.
Flash memory has a faster reading speed, and its reading time is less than 1ns, which can be compared with the main memory. However, it takes a long time because of its complicated writing operation. And [1] compared with hard disk, flash memory has stronger dynamic earthquake resistance, so it is very suitable for mobile devices, such as notebook computers, cameras and mobile phones. USB disk, a typical application of flash memory, has become a popular means to transfer data between computer systems. Non-original reprint sogou encyclopedia
